"...Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." James 2:17

CENTS ABILITY

Cents Ability started April 25th with the collection
boxes being handed out to the children and ended
May 23rd.

In the brief time that we participated in the
Cents Ability program, we raised $249.50 (as of
June 27th). Just think what can be done if we as individuals continued this practice to raise money
to feed the hungry throughout the year. This shows
what a difference one person, family, group or congregation can make.

Cents Ability is a small step in the battle against hunger and poverty. Everyone
was invited to contribute a few cents at every meal. This simple act was an
expression of thanks for what we have received. It was also a commitment to
share with others in response to Jesus' command "You give them something to
eat
." When the children brought their offerings to the church on May 23rd, all
of those coins" made a joyful noise unto the Lord" as they were received and
dedicated.
