THE HEIFER PROJECT

The Heifer Project is a mission we share
with Summit’s Education Committee.  Children
collect monies for a month and provide animals
for those in need.  Instead of providing families
with a non-renewable food, Heifer provides a
“living loan” of an animal.  Many benefits can
come from an animal; for example - milk,
eggs, wool, fertilizer, draft power,
etc.  Heifer provides food and
income-producing animals to resource-poor
families in 125 countries.
